  • Fuse Board / Consumer Unit Upgrades

    We pride ourselves in providing the benchmark standard for our installations to uphold the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations requirements and provide an RCBO consumer unit with an integral surge protection device. The consumer unit, also commonly known as the fuseboard, is the hub for all the electricity in your home. It contains the circuits that provide the power for all the electrical items in your house including but not limited to sockets, lights, electric ovens and hobs, smoke alarms, electric vehicle chargers and other outdoor power. Our team will be able to assess the current state of your consumer unit and carry out any necessary upgrades.

  • Fire & Smoke Alarms

    A simple mains powered smoke alarm system with a battery backup and wired interconnection is the standard for your household. The most common types of detector in the home are optical and heat alarms. Optical smoke detectors are made for detecting slower burning fires and smoke from electrical fires. Where as, heat detectors are mainly used in kitchens to detect a rapid increase in temperature which could indicate a potential fire. We recommend testing your smoke and heat alarms monthly to ensure they are fully functional and in date.

  • Electrical Inspection & testing

    All testing is carried out by fully qualified electricians working to the current IEE wiring regulations whilst ensuring compliance and safety is maintained.

  • EICRs & landlord reports

    It is now a government requirement to have an up-to-date, satisfactory Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) on all tenanted properties. This responsibility falls to the landlord to ensure the safety of their tenants.

    An EICR will provide a full summary of the condition of the electrics in your home and determine whether it complies with the current British Standard for electrical safety (BS 7671). It will record a number of observations in line with BS 7671 and make various recommendations where improvement may be necessary or beneficial to improving safety in your home. Once the EICR is completed the registered contractor will provide you with a certificate outlining the overall condition of the electrical installation.

  • PAT Testing

    The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 requires that employers and employees take responsibility for the safety of all those working at the premises, and this includes the safety of electrical appliances. PAT stands for “Portable Appliance Testing” and involves us checking every electrical appliance that has a plug and is reasonably portable or can be moved around. If you’re an employer, you need to show that you are doing all you can to keep your employees safe as they go about their daily work. Electricity poses a great risk and appliances can easily become damaged or deteriorated, leading to risk of electric shock.
